Congratulations, Matric class of 2018!

100% pass rate for the 21st  consecutive year!

47 learners achieved 72 distinctions on the IEB system; 91% of Matrics attained Degree Passes (University Exemption) and 9% attained Diploma Passes.  All our Matrics are able to study at tertiary institutions.

What brilliant achievements!

Distinctions achieved:

Luna Asefaw – 8 distinctions (including A+ symbols for 3 subjects one of which is for Advanced Programme Mathematics); and an average of 87%

Michael Venter  – 6 distinctions (one of which is for Advanced Programme

Mathematics and A+ symbols for 3 subjects); and an average of 85%

Emily Taylor – 4 distinctions (including A+ symbols for 2 subjects); and an average of 81%

Graeme Selkon – 4 distinctions and an average of 79%

Diane Bada – 3 distinctions (including an A+ symbol for 1 subject); and an average of 81%

Wandile Dlamini – 3 distinctions (one of which is for Advanced Programme Mathematics), a 79% for one other subject and an average of 77%

Nontobeko Sithebe – 3 distinctions (including an A+ symbol for 1 subject); and an average of 79%

 

Congratulations to the teachers whose tenacity and devotion helped achieve these phenomenal results.

The best distinction-rates belonged to the following departments:

Life Orientation (23 distinctions); Maths Lit (13); Maths (8); isiZulu (7); Afrikaans (5); Geography (4); AP Maths (2); English (2); Life Sciences (2); Physical Science (2); Accounting (1); Hospitality (1); IT (1). Total 72.
